A passionate, enthusiastic team
Design Collective was conceived in 2003 by Adam and Vanessa Griffiths to provide world-beating identity, print and multimedia design to the small and medium business and enterprise of Auckland and New Zealand at sensible and manageable cost.
We have both worked for start-ups and incubators and we know that the branding of new business is paramount to its success, but is rarely well-considered or realised.
We keep our internal costs and overheads low by creating teams on a per project basis. When a project needs an illustrator, we choose the right one for the job and contract them only for as long as required. We get the best person for the job, and save the overhead of keeping them on full time.

Adam Griffiths
My previous experience includes: brand creation, design and management for Argent Networks, a large telecommunications software company, where I was responsible for the design of their products front-end and usability; product development for a large web-hosting company in London; and creating the on-line presence of the Conservative Party of the UK.
I have been project managing, designing and building for the web since 1998. My core skills include PHP/MySQL, HTML, CSS and WordPress. I am always extending my knowledge, currently in Linux and Open Source projects. I have tutored Digital Media at Auckland’s renowned Media Design School and continue to maintain a relationship with the school. I am a keen amateur photographer.
Vanessa Griffiths
Vanessa has a wealth of design experience and knowledge gathered from working with companies both within New Zealand and internationally.
Her strengths are in concept development, visual design and image production. Her focus is consistent online and print branding for our clients.

Our client list includes Phoenix Cosmetics, Brightshine, GeoSmart, Family Planning, South Pacific Pictures, Showdown Productions, Ringside NZ, Franklin Zoo and Liquid Automation.
Projects include brand development, website design, advertisements, brochures, sales literature and web application and software design.
