Franklin Zoo is a charitable trust in Auckland, a zoo that care for animals from all over NZ who have nowhere else to go. The work they do is phenomenal essentially providing a retirement home for a cast of Lions, Zebras, Monkeys and many more.
Last year Franklin Zoo acquired an African Elephant, Miela (nee Jumbo), no small task for a small Zoo. We created a web site (Content Managed on WordPress) for them capable of taking online donations (donate now!) and allowing them to communicate to their visitors on a regular basis.
Go and visit not just the site, but the Zoo as soon as you can.
